Fraudulent company
Bought a PC2GO and when I fired it up, the Microsoft Product Key used to activate Windows was invalid. Hipstreet is nowhere to be found - their tech support chat line is inactive, their phone number gives you a bogus Spanish song clip three times, and then a message plays "I didn't understand you, goodbye!" and then hangs up, their web site tech contact form is ignored, and their e-mail address is invalid and bounces back.
All their products show "out of stock" status.
Why they have a web site is beyond me. I would not advise purchasing anything from this Canadian company that obviously provides no support or warranty care, nor ability to communicate with them.

My Hipstreet Micron Tablet Broke After 4 Months
Hello everyone! I am a triggered 14-year-old with a broken tablet!
I spent ages trying to save up for a tablet, and I finally had enough to get one. I bought a relatively cheap one for $80 CAD off of Home Hardware. I used it a lot, but then the charge port became really loose and it stopped charging. I tried to get it replaced as it had a one year warranty, but because I had paid in cash and the clerk had not given me a receipt, I was screwed.
Now that I am fairly affluent with electronics, I have attempted to repair it myself. This has been to no avail as they have the most ****ing stupid design I have ever seen.
The motherboard is essentially permanently mounted to the inside of the tablet by its own connector cables which refuse to be disconnected. On top of this, the solder points for the charge port are underneath the board, rendering the task of resoldering the port impossible.

Device would not boot properly or charge. Resolved by rebooting the device.
It may had been a corrupted app. The charging issue was more annoying as the device would not charge while being plugged into USB. Turns out the device is not designed to be charged through the USB plug. The USB only transmits data.
The charging function is exclusive to the Adapter plug. For those looking for a new adapter because they've lost theirs, just make sure it's the right size pin plug and has an output of 5volts 2amps.
After I used my adapter and rebooted the device, it works like new. I only use it though for drawing, so there is that.

Hi my names Eric luscombe I bought this micron hipstreet tablet 1 12 months ago its really *** me off its really screwing up it can take 5min to 5hours before able to turn on it will shut off when ever it feels like it once power is turned off most times it turns itself on and off so battery's always dead it freezes I can't take it much longer I'm on disability and had to save for quite a while then I was happy could stay in touch with people etc. So after saving for just over a year to have it *** out is bull *** could u get back in touch asap with what ever options there are please I would really appreciate it Eric luscombe
